On Novemeber 1st, I had one of the most unique photographic opportunities I’ve ever had. My good very good friends, Cory and Lindsey, got engaged that day. Just like the paparazzi, I was hiding in the bushes to capture the moment. Truth be told, Cory had worked out this elaborate plan to surprise Lindsey with a marriage proposal and he asked my wife and me to be a part of his plan.
On this day, Cory made all the rest of us men look bad by coming up with an extremely romantic way to propose to Lindsey. First, he put together an entire scrapbook of their “Love Story” to date. It told the story of the time they had spent together and all the key events leading up to this day. He also worked it out so that Lindsey was at our house helping my wife setup for a little party we were having that night. Little did Lindsey know she was setting up for her own party.
The doorbell rang and a package was left at our front door containing the scapbook. Lindsey was quite surprised as she sat down to go through this gift that had been left for her. She got to the last page of the scrapbook which he left blank with only the title “The day…”
He left instructions for Lindsey to turn on a GPS he had left for her. The GPS was programmed to take her to the spot at Sidecut Park where they had gone on one of their first dates. He was there waiting for her, ring in hand. It was an incredible moment to witness and an even more incredible moment for them I’m sure.
Here are some of the pictures from that evening. The second one is my favorite. Cory had made this little sign with the words “I said yes!!” If you’ve been following along you’ll see that this picture, along with that sign, complete the last page of their scrapbook. “The day… I said yes!!”
Thanks for letting me be a part of this very special moment Cory and Lindsey. Here’s to many more scrapbooks that will continue to tell your love story for many years to come.
I love the story and the pictures what a romantic story. God has truly blessed these two. Jeff God has blessed you with many gifts; Keep using them as God is using you for wonderful purposes.
God Bless,
Colleen
Thanks so much Colleen.
What a great set of photos. You could really see they were having a lot of fun. Great job.
Of course if they need a portrait of their photo… That’s what I do.
Thanks for the kind words Anthony. I hope all is well. I’ll send them your way if they’re looking for a portrait.
